The 'ACT! for the HP Palmtop' device activates a filter which allows you to communicate with an HP Palmtop PC running ACT!. By choosing Send to Device you can transfer specific data from your active database to the HP, overwriting the current HP database. Selecting Receive from Device allows you to transfer your HP database to your PC and merge new information into your active PC database, thus keeping your PC in sync with the additions and changes made to the HP database.
Select the COM port you want to use for the direct link transfer. The connectivity cable needs to be attached to this port. If you do not have a free COM port available, you can use the COM port assigned to your mouse. ACT! will temporarily disable the mouse while the direct link is active and then restore the mouse driver after the direct link is finished.
